Okemah Schools welcomes any student living within the boundaries of our school district and those who qualify for transfer under the current law. During the school year, parents may enroll students any weekday between 7:45am and 4:00pm. In June and July, the buildings are closed on Fridays and are open from 8:00am-2:00pm on Mondays through Thursdays.
In order to enroll, please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency (such as a water bill), a copy of your child’s CDIB card and Tribal Citizenship card, if applicable, and a shot record. Per current state law, for school enrollment, a parent or guardian shall provide one of the following: 1. Current, up-to-date immunization records; or 2. A completed and signed exemption form.
*If you are an unaccompanied youth or if your family is displaced and does not currently have permanent housing, you may still enroll, even if you do not have all the listed documents. A district liaison will work with you as needed to complete any necessary paperwork.
